Kauai Surfing Update!

We have been on Kauai for the past week, based on the north shore in Hanalei enjoying some GREAT surfski conditions.  Highlights have included paddling with pods of Humpback Whales, good surf conditions with plenty of vitamin C (carnage – and yes, documented on film), and amazing warm & sunny weather.  Local surfski guru Dylan Thomas (http://www.surfskikauai.com) has hooked us with all the boats and equipment needed and arranged for us to stay at the Hanalei Dolphin Cottages. (http://www.hanaleidolphin.com).

Hanalei is well located at the end of several well known downwind runs on the north shore of the island and is blessed with little to no traffic.  We have been able to end downwind runs with a short cooldown on the Hanalei river and take out right at our cabin, no better Hawaiian set-up than this!  Full trip report and surfing footage to follow, enjoy the pictures.
